Revelry Tours is hiring Food Tour Guides to lead engaging, high-energy walking food tours featuring local restaurants, neighborhood history, and regional culture.
Job Overview
As a Food Tour Guide / Walking Tour Guide, you will:
Lead guided walking food tours through historic and/or popular neighborhoods
Share engaging stories about local food, restaurants, history, and culture
Create a fun, welcoming, and memorable experience for guests
Coordinate with restaurant partners during scheduled tasting stops
Provide excellent customer service while managing groups
Keep tours on schedule and follow the planned route
Key Details
Daytime availability is required
Weekend availability is required
Tours are typically about 2–3 hours
Walking distance is approximately 1–2 miles per tour
Must be comfortable walking, standing, and speaking for extended periods
Tours run year-round, including weekends and holidays
This is an in-person, part-time position
Pay & Compensation
Training Pay:
$10 per hour for 8 2-hour sessions
After Training:
$50 per tour + 100% tips
Typical total earnings: $50 per tour base pay
Top performers can earn significantly more with tips
Weekly direct deposit on Fridays

Minimum Requirements
Daytime availability required
Weekend availability required
Strong public speaking or presentation skills
Outgoing, confident, and comfortable leading groups
Friendly, professional, and guest-focused
Reliable transportation
Punctual and dependable
Must live within 20 miles of the tour location
Comfortable walking, standing, and speaking for the duration of the tour
Interest in local food, restaurants, history, culture, tourism, or hospitality
Preferred Experience
Previous experience is helpful but not required. Relevant backgrounds include:
Food tour guide
Walking tour guide
Restaurant server, bartender, host, or hospitality worker
Customer service professional
Actor, performer, theater, or improv background
Teacher, educator, or public speaker
Local history, tourism, or storytelling experience
